Hi, I’m Lauren ♡
The artist & creator behind parkinglotbambi • Mesa, Arizona
I’m an Arizona-based painter with a lifelong love for colorful, whimsical, slightly strange things. My work is inspired by animals, nostalgia, everyday life, and whatever else happens to get stuck in my head long enough to become a painting.
I primarily work in rich oil paints, creating everything from original canvas pieces and fine art prints to tiny custom portraits of deeply cherished pets.
The Heart Behind Pet Portraits: Socks
A 16-Year Love Story That Started It All
My deep love for pet portraits actually started with my very first cat, Socks, who was by my side for 16 beautiful years. After losing her, I understood in a profound way how meaningful it is to have something physical, tangible, and lovingly crafted that holds the little face, quirky eyes, and unique soul of a companion you loved for so long.
Studio Companions: Tony & Terry
When I’m not painting at the easel, I’m usually hanging out with my cats, Tony and Terry. They are equal parts studio assistants, nap enthusiasts, chaotic distractions, and constant sources of daily joy and inspiration in my artwork.
